As a professional dog trainer, I am always looking for fun ways to reward the dogs after a good training session. On a hot summer day, I love giving them a cool treat. For small dogs and puppies, Frosty Paws cups can be too large of a portion for one setting. That is one of the reasons I like making my own, then I can control the potion size.

I recently purchased these cute silicone molds and made these Healthy Carrot Pupsicles that my dogs loved. They were so easy to make that I decided to try to recreate the Frosty Paws that we normally buy. These molds are the perfect size!

These treats are easy to make and require only 10 minutes of prep time!

I love that these treats can be made easily with basic household ingredients that you may already have on hand. No special ingredients needed! For this recipe you will need one banana, peanut butter and plain greek yogurt. The recipe calls for one cup of yogurt, I used two small single serve yogurts because that is what I had on hand. The measurements do not need to be scientific for this recipe and you can easily double it if you want to stock your freezer!

To make these treats, simply add all the ingredients to the blender and blend until smooth. An immersion blender would work well for this recipe too. Next, spoon the blended mixture into the silicone molds. Any molds will work, you could even use ice cube trays, but these paw print and bone molds definitely make them look great! Freeze overnight or for at least 4 hours. Once frozen, remove from molds and store in the freezer in freezer safe bags or containers.

Pro tip: Place the silicone molds on a cookie sheet before filling so that they are easy to transport and store in the freezer.

Keep in mind that because these treats contain dairy, they should be given in moderation. Consult with your veterinarian if your dog has any dietary restrictions or allergies.

These treats melt quickly once out of the freezer and can be messy, so they are best enjoyed outdoors! Unless your dog is like mine and gulps them down before they ever have a chance to melt, making them mess-free!

This recipe would also be great as a Kong stuffer recipe for some mental enrichment for your dog!
